What is Home Watch?
Home Watch is defined as a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues. During these visits, my wife Loretta and I will look for signs of damage or vulnerability, both immediate and possible.
Our inspections include a basic check of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as the overall condition of the home and property. We inspect your house or condominium with a trained eye, making sure that everything is satisfactory. We look for leaks, pests, storm damage, and mold, all of which can be present in homes left alone for even the shortest interval.
Home Watch adds a level of security to your vacant or unoccupied home. If we find an issue or potential problem, we will immediately notify you and follow your instructions on how you want to proceed. We will also remove junk mail and flyers to create the sense of presence in the home and add a level of security to your vacant or unoccupied home. We are your direct and trusted line of communication. We keep your best interests as our main priority – providing you peace of mind!

Our Services
When it comes to southwest Florida and its very hot and humid weather, many things can and will go wrong especially from inclement weather and of course, hurricanes! When air conditioning units constantly run it can result in several breakdowns. Smoke detector batteries go bad, and they may disturb your neighbors with the loud ringing that they emit. Water lines and valves break down due to the hard mineral water in southwest Florida as well. Your water needs to be run sometimes to remove sewer gas and keep the drain traps lubricated.
Home squatters or invasions can possibly happen to those who have fliers, newspapers and junk mail that build up on their driveway and in their mailbox. During our inspections we make sure that nothing is left out for anyone to see.
Bugs, ants, and termites are also a year-round issue in southwest Florida. There is nothing worse than having cockroaches, rats, and termites living inside your home without you knowing. Vigilant Guardian Home Watch and Services will let you know when there is a problem or pending problem and will work with you to come up with a plan to address them with your vendor of choice or offer suggestions to vendors that we ourselves would trust with our own home.
In addition to the inspection service inside your home, we also provide a visual inspection of your property to check for any issues with landscaping, pest control, pool cages, sprinkler systems, and anything else that may need some extra attention.
